Reporting to the Group HR Director, the Human Resources Manager will operate as an HR Business Partner for various strategic business units in the group.
Ensure strategic management of Human Capital through implementation of annual HR plans.
Provide support to Line Managers in the recruitment and selection of all staff as required.
Provision of expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities (including formulation of policies and procedures, implementation of code of conduct, works council meetings, terms and conditions of employment, absence management, restructuring exercises, performance management, etc.) in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management throughout the business.
Manage investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters in conjuction with the Departmental Managers.
Develop, implement, maintain and update HR policies and procedures in cojunction with Heads of Departments to ensure effective, fair and consistent management of staff throughout the organization.
Monitor and review the system of performance appraisal and continually develop as necessary, ensuring that annual appraisals are carried out in a timely manner.
Conduct annual training needs analysis, prepare a learning and development plan and make recommendations on the most cost effective training interventions.
Gather and analyze market data to measure the competitiveness of the Group’s compensation and benefits package, and make recommendations as appropriate.
Manage the implementation of HR systems and develop where necessary.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or any equivalent Social Science Degree.
A Professional Qualification or Affiliation such as IPMZ is desirable. ❖ Relevant postgraduate qualification such as a Master’s Degree will be a distinct advantage.
Eight years of practical experience in Human Resources Management as an all-rounder human resources practitioner, five of which should be at Managerial Level with exposure to all facets of Human Resources Management.
Good understanding of Labour Law and Industrial Relations.
